Typical Duties and Responsibilities: In an office based environment, provides direct patient care for management of occupational injuries and illness. May also provide direct patient care for a variety of occupational health services on-site at local employers.

Essential Functions: Conducts a variety of employment-related physical examinations. Provides assessment and treatment of injured workers. Prescribes medication, orders therapy, X-rays and diagnostic tests as medical indicated. Interprets X-ray, lab and test results and provides appropriate treatment. Refers cases to medical doctors as appropriate. Supports return-to-work philosophy. Maintains an adequate knowledge of workers’ compensation law; labor related laws and current treatment modalities.
